Reforged Supply is an initiative taking us one step further toward our sustainability goals. We’re striving to provide eco-friendly outerwear that delivers natural warmth and acts as a shield against harsh environments, while minimizing our footprint on it.

RECYCLED FABRICS
The textile industry is one of the largest global contributors to water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, and plastic waste. As an outerwear brand, we’ve participated in those contributions. However, we’re committed to lessening our role and reducing our impact on the earth.
With this goal in mind, we fundamentally changed the way we fabricate our outerwear. Starting in 2022, every Reforged Supply jacket is being manufactured with a high-performance recycled fabrication. These changes are allowing us to reduce our dependence on new plastics and substantially lower our overall environmental footprint.

RECYCLED DOWN
Down is at the heart of everything we do. Since 1987 we’ve been driving innovation in the down jacket industry. From our earliest production runs, we put an extra batch of down filling into our coats to make them thicker and warmer than conventional outerwear options.
Today, we continue to provide supreme warmth by using luxuriously high fill power down in our products.
Humans have used down for centuries because it is the best natural insulator available.
It has a large warmth-to-weight ratio, and is both durable and long-lasting. The material is also recyclable and completely biodegradable. Since 2018, our down has been certified by both the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and the International Down and Feather Testing Laboratory (IDFL). Our down is ethically sourced, and independently inspected and tested to ensure it meets all quality and traceability requirements to pass the IDFL Downpass Traceability Standard.
In 2022 we changed to recycled down
Our entire Reforged Supply Collection features insulation from 100% recycled goose and duck down. Our recycled down is Bluesign approved and independently certified by the GRS and RCS international recycling standards, fulfilling their social and environmental processing requirements and chemical restrictions. Moving to recycled down enables us to further reduce our carbon footprint, and minimize our impact on the natural environment.

ECO-FRIENDLY DWR
Waterproof garments are most commonly created using chemical treatments consisting of perfluorochemicals. These chemicals consist of long fluoride and carbon-based chains, called PFCs, which can be toxic to humans, animals, and the environment. These treatments gradually degrade over time, reducing the effectiveness of the water-repellency, shortening the life expectancy of the jacket, and contributing to water pollution. To truly be sustainable and provide eco-friendly products, we needed to find an alternative.
After careful research and consideration, we found a solution: HeiQ Ecodry™. Every Reforged Supply jacket is treated with this eco-friendly Durable Water Repellent (DWR). This DWR is completely PFOA and PFOS free, containing zero formaldehyde and fluoride-based chemicals. Since it doesn’t contain any PFCs, it won’t degrade into harmful pollutants. This extends the effectiveness of each jacket's water-repellent properties and makes them safe for living organisms and the natural environment.
