Very warm and great quality.

This coat is worth every penny. It’s incredibly warm and I really appreciate all the attention in the details. The only thing I would change is the pocket situation. The pockets are fleece lined but the outside of the pocket doesn’t have down in front of it, and as a result your hands down get quite cold even when they are in the pockets. I recommend to the manufacturer to make the coat where the down also covers the pockets to insulate your hands. I definitely don’t think it’s a reason not to buy the coat. It’s SO WARM and BEAUTIFUL. I actually get hot in the coat and I live in really cold temps. Highly recommend

I purchased this jacket as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend. We live in Boston, along the harbor, and in a very windy area so I can assure you she is often faced with an opportunity to wear the jacket. According to her, the jacket keeps her very warm, and this is coming from someone who often runs cold. In addition, she is constantly receiving compliments which validates me picking it as a gift for her. The waterproof aspect is also great; we've walked through the rain without umbrellas and you could see that the water-droplets were not sticking to the coat, but rather sitting on it. As it states, all of the flaps are magnetic which is very convenient. The magnets are strong enough where you could just let them clasp without having to actually zip-up the jacket but not too strong where you feel you're pulling at them. Be mindful though, if you're ever standing around anything metallic, it sometimes will will stick to it. The only thing I would say could be better for the coat is if it had the chest-type, fleece-lined, vertical pockets for when you're walking to keep your hands warm. The side pockets are lined, but there's something much more comfortable about having them at chest level.

The Ellaria Parka is a great coat for cold, Michigan weather and from a brand that makes me nostalgic for my teen years in the 80’s. It has kept me super warm on days that the temps are extremely low. The cut is very slim and that is only deficit I find in the coat, as I am a curvy/busty size 14. I have the largest size in the coat; a 3x. Numbers on tags don’t bother me but just know, if you are curvy and above a 14/16, you may have to opt out of this coat/style. I am very satisfied with the quality, style, and price. Save a few hundred dollars and choose this high quality coat.

I purchased the warmest version of this coat that would withstand -20 degree F Chicago temps. The coat is so warm I often need to remove it to cool myself down on days that are 20 degrees. For me, the coat is warmer than I needed. The slim fit is perfect and the coat is extremely well made, with great attention to every detail. I like that the fabric is waterproof as I am often photographing in snow which can quickly change to sleet. Other than the coat being too hot, I am
extremely pleased with my purchase. Comparable or better than their competitor and a much better price.
