“...they’re better made than some parkas that cost much, much more.”
“Eye-catching and extremely warm.”
“Just save yourself some cash and buy it from Triple FAT Goose.”
Waterproof to snow and light rain, Atmoshell+ is our highest performance fabrication. It is made with soft yet durable materials and is seam sealed in key areas for enhanced water repellency.
This jacket has been upgraded with an abundant amount of white goose down at a 700 fill power rating to provide maximum warmth.
This style features Premium+ fur, our highest selection of fur. Coyote fur is naturally freeze-resistant, and disrupts the wind flow - reducing cold air contact to the face.
This style effortlessly blocks high winds for added protection from the elements.
Convenient magnetic snaps can be found on the front placket and the pocket flaps of this jacket.
A fluoride-free DWR coating has been added to the fabric, and it contains no PFOA, PFOS, and is formaldehyde-free, making it safe for both the individual and the environment.

We do not offer temperature ratings because everyone experiences temperatures differently. Instead, we issue a general guidance for the warmth experience of a particular coat when compared to the full range of coats that we produce.
Been waiting a very long time to get this coat. So happy I have it and satisfied with it. Although I live in NYC with an average winter climate, on those colder days I know I have what I need. I no longer need to layer up, and I have comfort with one coat.
I was shopping for a well made, high loft down parka. One with “real fur” trim!
My new parka from Triple F.A.T. DOWN met all my basic requirements. And more!
I admit that I was skeptical about the use of “magnetic snaps”. To my pleasant surprise, after using them, I have become quite fond of the magnets.
I do love the Triple F.A.T. parka that I purchased. I admit that now I kind of wish that I had chosen the longer length model of offered in your parka selection. The longer coat would have given my skinny old butt a bit more wind protection. It is not a big problem though. With insulated snow pants, I’ll keep my bottom warm and easily live with that issue.
I do have one small suggestion for a minor improvement in your parka designe. Regarding the “hook-and-loop” fastener at the neck/caller of the hood. I do like the ease and effectiveness of “hook-and-loop” fasteners. But, I have found that when not in use, and exposed the ”hook” side attracts all manner of fuzz, string, hair, and any manner of loose crap that might float about. I have found that the unused hooks eventually become clogged and less functional. (Not to mention somewhat “unsightly”)
A simple solution that I have noticed used by some manufacturers solves this annoyance. They have installed a second small additional piece of “loops”. On “hook” side of the opening. Just close enough to the “hooks” so that the when un-used, the “hooks” can be turned back and fastened out of harm’s way.
That simple solution does keep the “hooks” clean and ready for their next use. I would like that convince on my otherwise wonderful new parka.

It can drop to 10*F - 20*F in Boston, and the Huron keeps me very warm during those days. I took it with me to Killington, VT during a weekend trip and it was the perfect jacket to have throughout the day and kept me warm during the nights out. I’m a slim guy, 6’1” and the medium fits well. The magnets are a really nice touch. Overall, a really good investment if you live in a colder area!
I'm 6'1", and 170 lbs; slim. It fits me great, I don't feel like a Michelin Man. They made a big puffy feel, into a compact and smart size. The outside is matte finish, and all the material is fine and rich. .The jacket has magnet closing for the outer flaps, which was an unknown major plus for me. Now, I want a all my jackets to have magnets. It makes it so much easier to hang and close, and put away.
- Very Satisfied Customer
I would hope the zipper was a little more zippier in connecting with itself. It is extremely difficult to zip up the coat. Hopefully the warranty covers the possible failure of the zipper. Otherwise the Huron is a great coat for the cold days ahead in New York.

We're sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your jacket. Please note the Huron uses high-grade water-repellent Aquaseal YKK zippers. Because these zippers need to be able to repel water, there is a little bit more resistance than a standard zipper when pulling the zipper head up and down.

The Huron features double zipper heads which allow the coat to be opened from the top and the bottom. Please note, the zipper track must be fed completely through both zipper heads in order for the optimal use of the zipper.
